Betchen Wolf

Born on Oahu, before Hawaii became a state, she is the only child of a military family.  Betchen’s experiences took her to Paris for 7 ½ yrs. as a youngster, consequently having the opportunity to visit many famous and not-so-famous museums and galleries throughout Europe.

Working in her unique, abandoned air tower studio, Columbus, OH, - Betchen regularly entered state juried shows reigning in awards and placements.  She has been a member of several guilds.  Having minored in Fine Art for her BA of Elementary Education from IA, Betchen later sought to attain her Commercial Art and Design degree as well.  The latter she completed at the University of Denver extension in 1984.

Betchen’s studio is currently located in her home.  She happily produces sporatically. Render colors, texture, freedom, enhance vibrancy, and feeling. Betchen’s intention now is to come out of obscurity to delight and inspire with her pieces. Her background includes: oils, acrylics, paper making, pen and ink, flatwork, graphite renderings, and cloth design.
